Minnesota Water Resources Conference

Minnesota Sea Grant Resilience Educators Jessy Carlson and Madison Rodman will be presenting separate sessions on the second day of the Minnesota Water Resources Conference on some of MNSG's community resilience projects.

MNSG Water Resource Management and Policy Extension Educator and Water Resources Center Senior Research and Extension Coordinator John Bilotta is a member of the Minnesota Water Resources Conference planning committee and co-leading the conference. 

The Minnesota Water Resources Conference will allow participants to learn about new, practical, and applied water resource engineering solutions, management techniques, and current research. The conference will be an opportunity for participants to address:

  • Lessons learned from the implementation of engineering projects.
  • Best practices discovered in the design and application of water resource management techniques.
  • Implications of water policy decisions.
  • Research into current and emerging issues.

Registration is required for participants.

Cost of Attendance
The registration fee includes access into all plenary and concurrent sessions, special sessions, poster sessions, conference materials, and up to 1.15 CEUs.

  • Participant - Early Bird: $400 (before 9/16); Regular: $450 (starting 9/16)
  • Student (full-time) - Early Bird: $85 (before 9/16); Regular: $110 (starting 9/16)
  • Single Day Registration - Early Bird: $300 (before 9/16); Regular: $350 (starting 9/16)
     

MNSG Sessions

  • Jessy Carlson will present on MNSG's Code Audits project in a session titled "Partnering with Local Governments to Optimize Stormwater Management Outcomes Through Code and Ordinance Reviews". This session will occur during the second day's Concurrent Session V during Track IV: Beyond the Code: Innovative Stormwater Management Practices. Carlson's presentation will be from 1:35 - 1:55 p.m., with Q&A occurring 2:35 - 2:45 p.m.
  • Madison Rodman will present on MNSG's One Block project in a session titled "Drops of Change: Community-Centered Water," alongside Natural Resources Research Institute's Tiff Sprague. This session will be presented on the Conference's second day during Track V: Special Session of Concurrent Session VI. This session will be from 3:15 - 4:45 p.m., with Q&A occurring 4:35 - 4:45 p.m.
