Minnesota Sea Grant (MNSG) offers fast-track and/or program development grants of up to $10,000 for projects of up to six months in duration (cost-share or match not required). Proposals should address urgent needs, leverage exceptional opportunities to advance MNSG goals, and/or support exploratory research that will form the basis for the submission of a larger proposal. Proposals must support goals and outcomes outlined within the MNSG 2024-2027 Strategic Plan

Applications are currently being accepted. An intent to submit form is due November 12, 2025, and proposals are due November 21, 2025. Applicants should follow the instructions detailed in the Fall 2025 Fast-Track Request for Proposals and submit via eSeaGrant

Investigators interested in proposing an exceptionally urgent project (e.g., a response to an emergency or other significant event) should email Minnesota Sea Grant’s research and fellowship coordinator at [email protected] for high-priority review.
