Lake County Natural Resources Field Day

Minnesota Sea Grant will be taking part in Natural Resources Field Day for Lake County sixth graders. MNSG extension educators will be leading a station on water quality, where students will play the Watershed Game and work together to meet a clean water goal.

Natural Resources Field Day is an event held every year in May by the Lake County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) to introduce Lake County sixth graders to natural resource topics and take them on a field trip to Split Rock Lighthouse State Park. The Field Day is preceded by classroom visits in which Lake SWCD staff talk about natural resources and conduct a paper-making activity with the students.
