Minnesota Sea Grant's River Exploration Station at the 2026 St. Louis River Quest tells the story of wild rice, Lake Sturgeon, recreational opportunities, and Great Lakes shipping, while students work together to complete a puzzle of the St. Louis River.
The St. Louis River Quest event features a series of learning stations with hands-on activities that allow students to explore the environment, economy, and community in and around the St. Louis River Estuary. The 2026 St. Louis River Quest will engage over 1,300 sixth graders from 12 area schools.
Since 1993, Minnesota Sea Grant has participated in the St. Louis River Quest by hosting learning stations for attending sixth-graders focused on one or more of our extension programs.
