Minnesota Lake Lookout Intern

What I do for Sea Grant

I provide support to the Minnesota Lake Lookout project. I will travel to northern Minnesota lakes to collect and analyze water samples for chloride and cyanotoxins, while collaborating with community volunteers to coordinate field sampling, manage sample intake, analyze and visualize data, and support engagement events.

Outreach Projects

Minnesota Lake Lookout bridges the gap between local communities and scientists to track hidden threats like chloride pollution and harmful algal blooms. By building a statewide volunteer monitoring network, the initiative provides the real-time data needed to protect Minnesota’s lakes for the long term.

News Releases

This Minnesota Lake Lookout webinar introduces how community volunteers can get involved in monitoring chloride pollution and harmful algal blooms statewide.
