Itasca Waters Supporter Celebration

Meet Minnesota Sea Grant at an Itasca Water community event Aug. 3 at Klockow Brewing Company.

Minnesota Sea Grant Water Resources Extension Educator Hilarie Sorensen will introduce Minnesota Lake Lookout, a statewide project that trains community volunteers to help monitor chloride pollution and harmful algal blooms in Minnesota lakes. Volunteers collect water samples and observations that University of Minnesota scientists verify and analyze to help fill important lake-monitoring data gaps.

The free event will also celebrate Itasca Waters supporters, share information about the organization and its future, and feature speakers from KAXE/KBXE and the Itasca Soil and Water Conservation District.

Light refreshments will be provided. RSVPs are required to attend this free event. To RSVP, send an email to [email protected]
