Who?

The Watershed Game is designed for local community leaders and educators. Anyone interested in land use and water quality is also welcome to attend.

What?

Join us for an in-person Watershed Game Train-the-Trainer Workshop in conjunction with the Gulf of Mexico Climate and Resilience Community of Practice meeting on May 17, 2023, in Sarasota, Florida.

The Watershed Game is an interactive, educational tool that helps individuals understand the connection between land use and water quality.

This workshop will focus on the new Coast Model of the Classroom Version and Local Leader Version of the Watershed Game. The new Coast Model highlights critical coastal issues, including nitrogen and increasing flooding.

Workshop participants will learn how the Watershed Game can be used to engage their communities and help meet planning, program, or education objectives. Participants will also leave the workshop ready to facilitate game play in their communities.

Those who register for this event will have the opportunity to opt in or out of receiving a free Watershed Game. Registrants who opt in to receive a free Watershed Game are committing to fully participating in the Watershed Game Train-the-Trainer Workshop and providing feedback on two surveys that will be shared six and 12 months after receiving a free Watershed Game.
