You’re invited to a special Twin Ports Freshwater Folk (TPFF) event on November 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. This month's TPFF will be hosted in collaboration with the National Atmospheric Deposition Program’s (NADP) Science Symposium, held in Duluth, MN.
TPFF attendees will virtually join a symposium session titled "Protecting the Great Lakes Region and Coastal Ecosystems from Air Pollution," which will feature a series of talks on atmospheric deposition and its impact on Great Lakes ecosystems, including sessions from Twin Ports scientists.
TPFF members can attend this session virtually for free and are encouraged to join a watch pod at the Duluth office of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). The link to view the session will be sent the week of the event. Registration is required for virtual attendance by 11/5/2024.

Twin Ports Freshwater Folk (TPFF) is an informal gathering of people from the Twin Ports who are engaged in freshwater research, policy, or regulation issues. Meetings take place on the first Wednesday of every month and include networking, informal discussion, and a seminar.
Event sponsors:
- Minnesota Sea Grant
- Great Lakes Toxicology and Ecology Division of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
- Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
- Large Lakes Observatory at the University of Minnesota Duluth
- Natural Resources Research Institute at the University of Minnesota Duluth
