Project description

This project will use a survey approach to Homeowners Association (HOA) board members, property managers, and commercial property owners to assess knowledge, behavior, barriers, and motivations related to stormwater and green infrastructure practices and their maintenance. 

The survey will also identify resources, tools, and information delivery strategies that could help to support better maintenance of stormwater and green infrastructure practices at HOAs and commercial properties. 

The three primary objectives of this project are to: 

  1. Assess knowledge, behavior, barriers, and motivations of HOA board members, property managers, and commercial property owners to related to stormwater and green infrastructure practices and their maintenance; and 
  2. Identify resources, tools, and information delivery strategies that could help to support better maintenance of stormwater and green infrastructure practices at HOAs and commercial properties. 
  3. Identify resources, tools, and education delivery systems that could help to reduce stormwater pollution from irrigation, lawn care, and winter maintenance practices on HOA and commercial properties.
