Earth Day at the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center

The Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center is hosting an all-ages Earth Day event that is free and open to the public. Several local organizations, including Minnesota Sea Grant (MNSG), will provide family-friendly activities. All visitor center exhibits will be open for public viewing.

MNSG is leading a station at this event because the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center is a participant in the Great Lakes Transport extension program and this event is an opportunity to provide education to all ages about the importance of Great Lakes shipping to the regional and local economy, the cargo types that ships typically carry, how Great Lakes shipping touches residents' everyday lives, and the potential career opportunities within the Great Lakes maritime transportation system.
