This workshop, part of the 2025 Lake Superior Youth Symposium hosted by UMD's Swenson College of Science and Engineering, is designed for students interested in the dynamic world of Great Lakes science and sustainability. The session will feature interactive speed dating-style discussions lasting 10-15 minutes each, covering topics such as watershed stewardship, Great Lakes shipping, microplastics, aquatic invasive species (AIS), harmful algae blooms (HABs), fisheries and aquaculture, weather forecasting and resilience.
