DULUTH, Minn. – Do you know an undergraduate student looking for a summer internship that’s both rewarding and fun? Minnesota Sea Grant is offering three paid summer undergraduate internships. Interns will work on real-world environmental and conservation projects while gaining hands-on experience in field research, data analysis, outreach, communication and water safety education. 🛶 St. Louis River Water Safety Intern – Promote safe recreation on the St. Louis River National Water Trail through education and outreach. Includes a fully funded field experience in North Carolina. Work location is Duluth, MN. Open to any current undergraduate.
🌾 Enhancing Fish Habitat and Species Diversity in Invasive Cattail-Dominated Shorelines Intern – Help manage Minnesota’s nearshore lake zones by studying the effects of invasive hybrid cattails on fish and plant communities. Work location is St. Paul, MN. Open only to current undergraduates at any University of Minnesota campus.
🐟 Aquaculture and Fisheries Intern – Assist with fisheries and aquaculture research, data analysis, and outreach, including projects on baitfish production, market studies, and fish identification. Work location is St. Paul, MN. Open only to current undergraduates at any University of Minnesota campus.
Each internship offers hands-on experience, professional networking, and a summer of adventure in Minnesota’s lakes and rivers.
