Student Hiring Form Download Student Information Form [Word doc]
Please fill out this form for each student working on a Sea Grant-sponsored project. Minnesota Sea Grant uses this information to demonstrate to NOAA, external reviewers, and other interested parties the educational value and benefit for students of Sea Grant funding.

Manuscript Publication Information Download Manuscript, Page Charges, and Reprint Information [Word doc]
Minnesota Sea Grant will only consider helping to pay for reasonable publication charges and/or open-access fees (generally <$1500) for manuscripts that are:

  • The result of research supported by MNSG and
  • That include the required acknowledgement statement (see doc).

Development Fund Request
Development funds are typically used for start-up, early career, or exploratory research to collect preliminary data prior to a full proposal. Requests are typically for $4,000 to $10,000, and are granted for 6-12 months. To request such funding, send a 3-5 page mini-proposal to Dr. Valerie Brady (vbrady@d.umn.edu) that includes enough background, methods, and budget detail that the project's value and scientific merit can be judged. Please also send a one-page curriculum vitae for the principal investigator.

Please fill out this form and submit it along with your completion report. All Minnesota Sea Grant-funded projects are now required to report on their data management and data archiving plans.
