Development Fund Request
Development funds are typically used for start-up, early career, or exploratory research to collect preliminary data prior to a full proposal. Requests are typically for $4,000 to $10,000, and are granted for 6-12 months. To request such funding, send a 3-5 page mini-proposal to Valerie Brady (vbrady@d.umn.edu) that includes enough background, methods, and budget detail that the project's value and scientific merit can be judged. Please also send a 1-pg Curriculum Vitae for the Principal Investigator.
