New York Times best-selling author and James Beard Award winner Paul Greenberg will speak at the Minnesota Zoo as a part of its "Our World Speaker Series." Greenberg, who most recently wrote "American Catch: The Fight for Our Local Seafood," will lead and moderate three 20-minute panel discussions featuring Minnesota Sea Grant's director Jeff Gunderson as well as specialists from The Nature Conservancy, Wisconsin Sea Grant, Shedd Aquarium, University of Minnesota, and Coastal Seafoods.

5:00 - 6:00pm: Book signing

6:30 - 8:00pm: Panel Discussion

  • Panel 1: State of the Stocks: Conservation & Sustainability
  • Panel 2: Influence and Connection of Big Agriculture and Gulf of Mexico / Dead Zone
  • Panel 3: Meet the local fish - accessing Minnesota seafood resources

8:00 - 9:00pm: Meet and greet cocktail reception complete with free appetizers and a cash bar.
