Using green infrastructure to manage runoff in urban areas plays an important role in cleaning our water and provides multiple benefits to our communities. The 2014 Clean Water Summit will focus on the costs and benefits of green infrastructure in development projects. Participants will learn how society currently values clean water, why we need to change the way we think about water, and tools and strategies that have been used to develop green infrastructure projects, leading to more partnerships, more implementation, greater acceptance, and cleaner water.

Minnesota Sea Grant is an endorsing and financial sponsor of the Summit, which is being co-led by Sea Grant's John Bilotta, Water Resource Management and Policy Extension Educator.
