State of Water Conference 2014

This event is geared toward those who are interested in learning about protecting Minnesota's lakes and rivers. During the conference, there will be a choice of 4 workshops and 35 breakout sessions spanning over 5 topics: aquatic invasive species, restoring aquatic habitat, watersheds, local impact/group capacity building, and groundwater/nutrient management.

On Friday morning, Minnesota Sea Grant's Doug Jensen will present information about ways boaters and anglers can stop the spread of invasive species. Minnesota Sea Grant and Wildlife Forever will host HabitattitudeTM and Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers!TM booths, respectively.

This event is hosted by the Freshwater Society, Conservation Minnesota, Midwest Glacial Lakes Partnership, University of Minnesota Extension Program, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, and the Minnesota DNR.
