Join the HabitattitudeTM Education Development Team Workshop

Minnesota Sea Grant, in collaboration with the Great Lakes Aquarium, is hosting an aquatic invasive species stewardship workshop for educators.

Participants will learn about some of the most notorious (and interesting) aquatic invasive species in the Great Lakes. During the two hours, educators will have time to exchange ideas and sketch out stewardship projects for their students. Completed stewardship projects will be featured on the Nab the Aquatic Invader! website. Participants can become a part of a Great Lakes-wide stewardship network the Great Lakes region.

Sea Grant and the Great Lakes Aquarium will provide materials supporting aquatic invasive species education inside (and outside) your classroom. Lessons are grade-adaptable and inquiry-based.

Thanks to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, funding for twenty $100 stipends are available to teachers who complete an AIS stewardship final action plan by the September 25, 2013.
