Lake Superior Watershed Ditch and Culvert Design Workshop

This workshop will provide training to public and private sector professionals on how to plan, install, and maintain road culverts and ditches that are safe, resilient, and long-term. Specifically, it will focus on ditch and culvert design in the Lake Superior Watershed that will minimize hydrologic impact and system failure/subsequent erosion, and maximize cost effective installation and maintenance.

Times:

  • Wednesday, March 6, 2013: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 7, 2013: 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Cost:

  • Registration before February 27, 2013: $30*
  • Registration after February 27, 2013: $60*

*Registration includes lunch on day one and refreshments.

This project is planned by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources, Minnesota Sea Grant, and Laurentian Resource Conservation and Development Council. It is funded in part by the Coastal Zone Management Act, NOAA's Office of Ocean and Coastal Resources Management, in cooperation with Minnesota's Lake Superior Coastal Program.
