Lake Superior Day

July 15, 2012
Lake Superior Basin

Lake Superior Day takes place annually on the third Sunday of July.

Communities, businesses, churches, and other groups around the Lake Superior basin are planning events to celebrate one of the world's largest freshwater lakes. In 2011, over 50 groups and towns celebrated Lake Superior Day by way of picnics, beach clean-ups, library displays, dragon boat races, concerts, and other activities. If you are in the Duluth area, join the festivities in Canal Park.

Events will be held during the week leading up to Sunday, July 15. These events are open and free to the public.
