Life After Zebra Mussels

Doug Jensen, aquatic invasive species program coordinator with Minnesota Sea Grant, presented Life After Zebra Mussels recently in Alexandria, Minnesota sharing his experience and knowledge about the threats of invasive species in the state's waterways.

Jensen distinguished myths from realities regarding zebra mussels, and shared his view of boat wash stations and how well they really work. He also let audiences know how they can help ôStop Aquatic Hitchhikers!TM

The event was sponsored by Sauk River Watershed District, University of Minnesota Sea Grant Program, Douglas County Lakes Association, and Douglas County Soil and Water Conservation District.

Prior to the event, Jensen was interviewed on KSAX-TV in Alexandria.
