Climate Change Focus of World Maritime Day

This is the U.S.'s year to showcase World Maritime Day in an event paralleling the International Maritime Organization's celebration at its London headquarters. World Maritime Day focuses attention on the importance of shipping safety, maritime security, and the marine environment. The theme this year is "Climate Change: A Challenge for IMO too!"
Here are some things you can do:
- >> Attend the special screening of the IMAX movie Mysteries of the Great Lakes.
- >> Be one of the first 125 people to respond and win 2 tickets in the Ticket Giveaway!
- >> Tour the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Alder, from noon - 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the USCG dock at 1201 Minnesota Ave, Duluth.
- Tune into live broadcasts of panel discussions from the New York Parallel Event.
