5th Annual Great Lakes Restoration Conference

September 10 - 12, 2009
Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC)
Duluth, Minnesota

At the Healing Our Waters Coalition Great Lakes Restoration Conference in Duluth, Coalition members and partners will explore a new and exciting approach for the HOW restoration campaign. With recent success in generating significant new federal funding for restoration throughout the region, the Coalition is now turning its attention to engaging in the implementation process to help ensure that funds are spent to maximize benefits the Lakes and to the millions of people that depend upon them for jobs and way of life.

Minnesota Sea Grant will co-host a Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers! education display during the event. Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers! is a national campaign that helps recreational users prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. Over 700 partners have joined including public, private, and non-profit organizations. Let the campaign work to help your organization protect our valuable waters. Stop by and learn what you can do. Resources produced by partners will be displayed.

The cost of the event is $140 and open to the public.
