This first annual statewide conference on invasive species was held to encourage the exchange of information on topics relating to both aquatic and terrestrial invasive species. The conference was designed to strengthen awareness of invasive species issues at the local level, as well as promoting local prevention and management activities. It attracted over 430 attendees.

Conference hosts include the Minnesota Invasive Species Council, Minnesota Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society, and Minnesota Sea Grant.
