Recent News

Brady; Jesse Schomberg, coastal communities educator; and Gerald Sjerven with NRRI, gave the presentation, "A Choice of Futures for Local Communities," at the State of the Coast conference in Duluth during May.

Brady is facilitating coordination of the project, "Duluth Residential Stormwater Reduction Demonstration Project for Lake Superior Tributaries," a $167,400 grant from Minnesota Pollution Control Agency/US Environmental Protection Agency to the City of Duluth, NRRI, Minnesota Sea Grant, South St. Louis Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Minnesota Conservation Corps. The project is designed to demonstrate the effectiveness of technologies such as rain gardens, rain barrels, and cisterns to reduce stormwater runoff in residential areas.
